How to knit a seamless Moebius Cowl
This workshop will teach you to how to do the intriguing and fun MOEBIUS cast on, a technique ingeniously ‘unvented’ by Cat Bordhi.
The Möbius strip or Möbius band is a surface with only one side and only one edge. It can be made using a strip of paper by gluing the two ends together with a half-twist. The twisting is possible in two directions; so there are two different (mirror-image) Möbius strips.
Mathematics as ART! This Mobius strip is what we will be knitting and you don't need to be good at maths to be successful!
In the end, you'll have a beautiful, seamless cowl you'll be proud to wear or give as a gift. We'll be using a chunky weight yarn that you will select when you arrive and a 100 cm 5.5 or 6.0 mm circular needle. Because you won't finish the project on the day, we can provide the needles at an additional cost or you're welcome to bring one from home.
This workshop is led by Terri Bate.
