I have never been sure that Euclan could possibly be worth the price/hype. I bought my first bottle recently and washed some handknit socks. One pair had become quite dirty and have come up soft and clean with no effort at all. Really soft, even the soles.
Another pair had been somewhat felted (by the person I made them for: last pair she's getting from me!!). Nothing can "unfelt" socks, but the Euclan even seems to have helped them and they feel softer and more pliable than before. Amazing.
I doubt I'll use anything else for hand washing my handknits ever again !!!!
